When will I be charged a late payment fee?

Late fees are assessed based on the type of account and billing frequency:

 

Residential Customers (Quarterly Billing)

  • Residential customers are assessed a late fee the day they are billed for their quarterly invoice if their past invoice has not been paid.
  • This provides a longer grace period. If the prior quarterly bill remains unpaid, an additional late fee will be assessed three months later when the next quarterly invoice is issued.

 

Commercial Accounts (Monthly Billing)

  • Commercial accounts are assessed late fees monthly.
  • They are generally given a 2 day grace period after the monthly billing date.
