What We Can Pick Up

Our bulky item service is ideal for larger normal household items that are too large for your regular trash cart. A few common items included in this service are:

Rolled carpeting (up to 4 feet long), grills, and lawn furniture.

Our Simple 3-Step Process

Get a Quote & Schedule:

Contact our customer service team at least one business day before your regular collection day. We’ll ask for the details of your item(s), provide you with a quote for the service fee, and get you on the schedule.

Place It Curbside:

Set your approved item(s) at the curb next to your trash cart the night before or by 6:30 a.m. on your collection day. For safety, please ensure items do not block the sidewalk or street.

03

We Haul It Away:

Our dedicated crew will arrive on your service day to safely remove your item(s) and handle the proper disposal, so you don’t have to lift a finger.

A bulky item is generally a piece of household furniture that is too large to fit in your regular trash cart. This service is perfect for items like couches, chairs, recliners, tables, desks, mattresses, box springs, and rolled carpeting.

Scheduling is easy! Simply call our customer service team at least one business day before your regular collection day. Let our team know what item(s) you have, and we will provide you with a quote and add you to the schedule.

Yes, a fee does apply for this service. The price varies depending on the size and type of the item(s) being collected. Our customer service team will give you a clear, upfront quote when you call to schedule your pickup.

Please place your scheduled item(s) at the curb next to your trash cart by 6:30 a.m. on your regular collection day. For the safety of pedestrians and drivers, please ensure the items do not block the sidewalk or street.

Yes. For the safety of our crews, we require that all mattresses and box springs be sealed in a plastic mattress bag or otherwise fully wrapped in plastic. Carpeting should be rolled and tied or taped securely, with individual rolls not exceeding 4 feet in length.

We have used Walter’s Recycling & Refuse for years, and their consistently outstanding service made the decision to enter into another five-year agreement an easy one.
