Finding Your Pickup Day: A Quick 2-Step Guide

Your trash is picked up weekly, and recycling is every other week. Here’s how to find your exact schedule:

1. Find Your Service Day (e.g., ‘Tuesday A’) Visit the City’s Interactive Map and enter your address. The map will tell you your collection day and whether you are in an “A” week or a “B” week.
2. Check the Calendar for Your Week Open the Walter’s Recycling & Holiday Calendar below. If your service day is “A,” your recycling will be picked up on the orange weeks. If it’s “B,” your recycling will be collected on the gray weeks.

Putting Your Carts Out Correctly

Our trucks use mechanical arms, so giving them the right space is key!

• Place carts out by the evening before your pickup day, but no later than 6:30 a.m.
• Set carts behind the curb (not in the street) or at the alley line if you have alley pickup.
• Please leave a few feet of space between your carts so the mechanical arm can grab each one easily.
• Remember to bring your carts back in on the same day after collection.
