Yard Waste

You’ve got room for more! We’re happy to pick up 4 extra compostable bags or 4 extra bundled branches per week outside of your cart. Just be sure any bags you use have the BPI Compostable logo so we know they’re the right kind.

Great question! You can fill your cart with natural yard debris like:

  • Leaves, weeds, and grass clippings
  • Garden waste (but please, no fruits or vegetables)
  • Small twigs, sticks, and prunings from shrubs
  • For larger branches, please cut them into 4-foot lengths and tie them securely in bundles no wider than 18 inches.

As long as the weather cooperates, our yard waste season kicks off the first full week of April and runs through the last full week of November. Just a friendly reminder, this is a prepaid service, so please be sure your invoice is paid to get your service started without delay!

Since our yard waste program is an optional, seasonal service, we give it a separate account to keep the billing clear and simple for everyone. To avoid any mix-ups, please be sure to make payments directly to your yard waste account!

Yes, it is! To make things easy, we’ll pick up your yard waste on the very same day as your trash and recycling. Please remember to have your carts out at the curb by 6:30 a.m. on your collection day.

Please help us by keeping these items out of your yard waste:

  • Plastic bags of any kind
  • Dirt, sod, rocks, bricks, mulch, or wood chips
  • Large branches or tree stumps
  • Food waste (including garden vegetables) or pet waste
  • Lumber, treated wood, or landscaping materials (like edging or pavers)
  • Plastic flower pots, trays, or hanging baskets
  • Regular trash or recycling

Paying online is the fastest way to go! To make sure your service is activated right away, please use the specific Customer ID number located on your yard waste invoice when you make a payment.

Nope, the cart is yours to use during the off-season! We ask that you please hang onto it until spring. It makes a fantastic storage container for garden hoses, sprinklers, and other lawn care items over the winter.
