I had a deflated swim tube in my trash can that I am guessing may have got stuck when trying to dump in the Walters truck because it was still there at the end of the day. I called the next morning and spoke to Laura and her customer service skills were second to none. She was super friendly and without hesitation, she offered to send a truck back out to my location to get it emptied. Walters is the BEST!!

Waste & Recycling Services in Osseo

Walters is the proud recycling partner for the City of Osseo, bringing a variety of services right to your curb. We’re excited to work together to keep our community clean and green!

Here are the services we are contracted to provide:

Trash

We provide reliable, weekly trash collection for all single-family homes in our community.

Your trash is collected every Monday. To ensure you’re never missed, please have your cart placed at the curb (or in your designated alley spot) by 6:30 a.m.

Recycling

No need to sort! Just place all your accepted recyclables loose in your cart. For a full list of what’s accepted and your collection calendar, check out the resources below.

 

Collected every other Monday. Please check your official Walters Recycling Calendar for your specific recycling weeks.

Organics Recycling

Help turn food scraps into healthy compost! This free program is a simple way to reduce waste. To get started, just call the Walters team at 763-780-8464.

  • How it works: Simply place your special, tied organics bag on top of the trash inside your regular garbage cart.

(April – November)

Seasonal Yard Waste

We accept grass clippings, leaves, garden waste, and bundled brush. You have a few options for disposal:

  • You can use your own container or biodegradable bags.
  • For the easiest option, request a free, durable yard waste cart from Walters! Our automated trucks can pick these up safely and efficiently. If you have extra, you can always place it next to your cart in a biodegradable bag.

Where to Place Your Carts

To ensure a smooth pickup, please have your carts out by 6:30 a.m. on your collection day.

For Curbside Homes:

  • Please place your carts at the end of your driveway, not in the street.

For Homes with Alley Pickup:

We have a special system to help our trucks work efficiently!

  • Trash & Yard Waste Carts: Place on the East side (for North/South alleys) or South side (for East/West alleys).
  • Recycling Carts: Place on the West side (for North/South alleys) or North side (for East/West alleys).
