Walters Recycling provides Single Sort recycling services in the following cities:

Remeber to always leave your recycling items loose. We recommend that you never put your recyclable in bags or container that constrict the recylable items with being sorted quickly and easily for our machines. Please do not use a plastic bag to collect your recyclables, rather just place them loosely in your cart. Plastic bags can get caught in the machinery which can cause damage to the machinery or a delay in production. Additionally, When there are two or more items connected to each other, they cannot be recycled, even if they’re all recyclable.
We appreciate your commitment to recycling! Recycling Service is provided every other week on your scheduled garbage collection day. If you need an extra recycling cart please call our office (763) 780-8464 to make arrangements. Please note there is a $3.00 charge for the additional cart.

What Can I Recycle?

RECYCLE RIGHT – RECYCLE SMART
Leave your recyclables loose, rather than in plastic bags.
When in doubt, toss it out!
Empty and rinse all recyclables.
The following items are acceptable curb-side recyclable materials: Please do not bag your recyclables in Plastic bags.
Cans, cartons, glass:
- Aluminum & Steel – empty and rinse
- Food & Beverage – empty and replace cap
- Bottles & Jars – empty and rinse
- Mail, newspaper, box board & cardboard – flatten
Plastics: #1, #2 & #5
- Kitchen, laundry, bath – bottles & containers – empty and rinse
The following items are non-acceptable curb-side recyclable materials:
- Plastic Bags
- Scrap metal & wood
- Tanglers – wires, rope, hoses, cords.
- Pizza boxes and egg cartons
- Auto glass or ceramics
- Household hazardous waste
- Shredded Paper

We compiled a list of frequently asked questions to alleviate any unknowns that you may have about recycling. We want the recycling experience to be hassle-free and easy. Q. I frequently have extra recycling. Can I get a larger cart?
A. Walters’ recycling service is unlimited and we will always pick-up any recycling you have out on your recycling day. If you need a larger cart or an additional cart please call our office! There is a $3.00 charge for an additional recycling cart.
Q. What time should I put my cart(s) at the curb?
A. Please have your cart(s) at the curb by 6:30 a.m. Most people find it more convenient to put them out the night before your pick-up day.
Q. My cart is broken. What do I do?
A. Please call our office to arrange for your cart to be replaced. There is no charge for carts needing replacement due to normal wear and tear.
Q. What happens if I forget to put my cart(s) out?
A. Please call our office as soon as possible. We will do our best to come back the same day to pick-up your garbage. If this is not possible, we may need to arrange to come back when our truck is in your area again.
Q. I want to recycle cardboard boxes, but can’t fit them all in my recycling cart. What do I do?
A. Cardboard boxes can be flattened and tied into bundles no more than 3 feet by 3 feet by 1 foot tall and placed next to your recycling cart. There is no charge for additional recycling.
Q. I had someone come to my door and try to get us to switch to another company. How can Walters help?
A. Please let us know as soon as possible. We would be happy to help you “decipher” the offer you were given and explain the differences in service. Beware of offers that are too good to be true!
