Blaine Event:
Saturday, October 28th, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. At Fleet Farm, 10250 Lexington Ave NE
Children and families are encouraged to attend in costume and visit vehicle stations to receive candy and check out the vehicles.
Columbia Heights event:
Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 1-4 p.m. at Huset Park (3965 Jefferson St NE)
Truck or Treat is a Halloween-themed “touch a truck” event hosted by the city.
What is Trunk or Treating?
Trunk or Treat is a Halloween event where participants decorate their car trunks and give candy to trick-or-treaters. It is often held in a parking lot or other ample open space. It is considered safer than traditional trick-or-treating because it is held in a controlled environment and allows for social distancing. Additionally, it can be a fun alternative for children and families with mobility issues or living in areas without sidewalks.
What is Touch a Truck?
It’s a unique opportunity where dozens of vehicles will be on hand for children to climb, sit in the driver’s seat, touch, view up close, pose for photos, and learn how various trucks work. Kids of all ages can experience what big trucks are really like.
