  • Medical

    Full-time employees and their dependents have several plan options, HSA and PPO. Walter’s pays 100% of the premiums for employees only on the base network, wellness plans. Our insurance is currently through Preferred One and our base network includes Fairview Health System (including U of M), HealthEast Care System, North Memorial Clinics, Northwest Family Physicians, North Clinics, Multicare Associates, other independent primary care clinics, online care and urgent care centers. Preferred one also offers several complimentary programs such as Healthy Mom & Baby, Quit for Life, fitness discounts, online health assessments, member discounts at select retailers, and Care Advantage to assist you with a new medication or diagnosis.

  • Dental

    Our dental plan is through Delta Dental and includes up to 4 cleanings per year, no waiting periods, and preventative and diagnostic care do not apply against annual maximums.

  • HSA

    When you choose an HSA plan, Walter’s will make a one-time $350 contribution to your account to assist you with your medical expenses. We also do a dollar-for-dollar match on any contribution you make up to $350 annually. Employees choosing an HSA medical plan receive a debit card to make it easier to pay for qualified medial purchases.

  • Life Insurance

    All employees receive a complimentary $10,000 life insurance policy. Employees may choose to buy additional life of AD&D coverage for themselves and their dependents for an additional cost.

  • Employee Assistance

    All employees receive complimentary and confidential assistance through Vital Work Life EAP Program. They can assist with a wide range of issues from financial counseling, legal services, identity theft, mental health or even leadership skills coaching.

  • Legal & ID Shield

    We have partnered with Aflac, and LegalSheild/ID Shield to offer voluntary benefits such as identity theft protection, legal aid, short term disability, vision and other benefits. All employees receive emergency travel assistance and identity theft protection, courtesy of Walter’s.

  • 401k

    We offer a 401k program that includes a 25% match on 8% of annual wages.

  • Tool allowance mechanics/welders

    We cover half the cost of a new pair of steel toe boots. We will also cover a portion of any tools for mechanics.

  • Paid PTO

    In addition to paid personal time off, employees are eligible to receive pay for 6 holidays a year.
